My macrame clasp area measures out at 2 1/4 inches. So to make a 8 inch bracelet you will need 5 3/4 inches of beads. For a 7 1/2 inch bracelet you will need 5 1/4 inch of beads. I am using a large button so that also makes my bracelet longer.
